Let’s be honest the dark nights can be pretty tough to get out & do your training. It can also be a tough time of the year to stay on track with your goals.
The temptation of staying inside, drinking tea & eating all the treats is higher than normal.. here’s some things that’s getting me through the winter:

Plan / Structure
This goes without saying.. without a plan you don’t have any direction & without structure you might not stick to your plan - so take time out each week to plan your training / meals / recovery.. then put it into your weekly routine
Set Clear Simple Goals
Give yourself a couple of goals to push towards for the rest of the year. This can help keep you accountable.
Group Exercise Classes
Struggling to train yourself? Get involved with a class or two.. let the music & the community inspire you & encourage you to push hard during the dark months.

Meal Prep : Slow Cooker is a great tool!
Although I’m still learning.. this is the best piece of kit for the kitchen. Fire everything into the one pot & leave to cook. Dinner / meal prep.
Plan Your Fun
Having fun planned each week can help you mentally feel good. Stay connected to those around you & give you that little bit of excitement each week or month.
Have Accountability
As a community we are keeping each other accountable during these darker mornings / nights. Encouraging each other to keep turning up for classes & SGT Sessions. This keeps us on track with our goals & helps with the motivation.
